On September 17, 2009 at the University of Georgia Andrea Weiss, Marie Curie Social Anthropology Fellow and PhD Candidate at the Central European University in Budapest, conducted a public seminar on the topic:

‘Economy of favours’: Field notes from Samegrelo.’

It was attended by CBSR staff and the centre members, students of the School of Humanities and teachers from the University of Georgia and many others. The seminar was followed by a discussion on the above mentioned topic.

On Wednesday, June10, at 15:00 in the room 101 at the University of Georgia Tamta Khalvashi (PhD Candidate, Chevening Research Scholar at the University of Oxford) gave a seminar on the topic:

‘Cultural and Social Transmission: About Several Anthropological Concepts.’

It was attended by CBSR staff and the centre members, students of the School of Humanities at the University of Georgia and others. The seminar was followed by a discussion on the topic.
